Admissions
Portland Cooperative School seeks intellectually curious
students who will thrive in our unique cooperative
environment. Parents must be able to fulfill our
participation requirement and wish to be part of a
cooperative school community that models gentleness, and
healthy communication and conflict
resolution. For the 2009-10 school year,
enrollment is open to Kindergarten through third grade.
Admissions are rolling, as space is available. Families are encouraged
to attend an Open House and/or schedule a classroom visit (contact
us here). Once an application has been submitted, the Admissions
Committee will review it and respond within two weeks. A non-refundable
tuition deposit of $500 will be due after acceptance in order to reserve
the child’s enrollment spot. Tuition for the 2008-09 school year is $6500.
The Board has yet to determine the tuition for the 2009-10 school year, but is
committed to an increase of no more than 8%.
