Families Put the Co-op in PCS!
Parent participation is much more than a vehicle for extending tuition dollars. It is what fundamentally differentiates PCS from every other school in greater Portland. Our participation is hard work. It enriches our children’s education, our community, and our own lives. It is value added. It is a privilege. It is invaluable.
Every PCS family contributes to the school’s operation in three ways:
- In the Classroom -
Through regularly scheduled weekly (in grades K-2) participation or through the development of one or more special projects in coordination with the teacher
.
- In the School’s Administration -
Parents select and are responsible for one job throughout the year that supports the daily operation of the school.
- Through Financial Support -
Parents are committed to paying an annual tuition, which for the 2008-09 school year is $6,500.
